The site is located on the outskirts of the historic UNESCO town of alba Julia which was established by the Romans 2000 years ago. It has interrupted views over the city and is linked to the centre of the city through a central axis.

The brief was to design a private eye surgery clinic which complies with Romanian and international standards and is eligible for european funds.

The design is inspired by the cardus and decumanous of the ancient Roman town of alba Julia which forms the main circulation area that connect all the spaces of the eye surgery clinic. The wooden cladding is the main external material which complies with the traditional wooden architecture of the transylvania region and the surrounding landscape.
