The narrow long plot is located 5 km from the Sicilian coast of Agrigento and has sloppy topography which allows uninterrupted views over the surrounding landscape.

The brief was to design a three bedroom villa for a local family that can be used as a summer retreat.

The design is inspired by the sloppy identity of the plot. The building is composed of three volumes all connected through a central axis, a covered pergola which traverses the plot from top to bottom. The living areas are located on the upper zone and the sleeping quarters on the lower zones of the plot. The intermediate open spaces form terraces that host the pool as well as shaded relaxation areas ideal for the hot Sicilian summers.
